I have a problem with my phone when I travel overseas. It doesn't accept incoming calls. Quite a problem. Especially when I am planning on meeting people at my destination.
Right now I am waiting "in queue" for an Optus person to help me out. For those of you unaware, Optus is the #2 telco in Australia. Firstly, when I call up, I have to say in a few words what I am calling for. I say to the computer; "International Calls". "I'm sorry, was that for long distance calls?" says the computer. "No. International Calls" I say. "I'm sorry, was that for long distance calls?" says the computer again. "No, International" I reply. "I'm sorry, I don't have all the information to direct you to the right person. Please be aware that because of this, I will put you through to someone who may have to transfer you again."
YAY! How's that for confidence building? "You'll be passed from person to person to really piss you off and hopefully you'll give up before actually speaking to someone!"
We spend about $5k each month with Optus. So for us, and for that kind of spend, we want action, we want service and we want someone to answer our questions right now!
If you are a telco and can guarantee me service and someone who can show some love, then please contact me on 0402 096 817.
Finally. Just finished. 15.30mins to get through to someone who had the audacity to ask how my day is going! Then 1.30mins later, problem solved. They had put an international call barring on my phone.
Might I add, they suspended all our accounts a couple of months ago because of a "technical error". We had no office phones, no fax and no mobiles for 2days. This international issue is still a continuation from that.
Please can someone help!
